We wrote this for our friend Floyd Dillon Wickliffe Jr who came to see Josh perform on several occasions, even if that meant carrying his oxygen tank with him and moving at a slower pace. He bestowed to us a collection of poems to use however we wished. He talked about living a very hard life in most of his poems. We started the song with a few of his words and branched off from there.

Looking back on a long life did he make all the right decisions
Was there more that he could've done
